Chris was born and raised in Jackson, Michigan. He earned an athletic scholarship at Eastern Michigan for wrestling where he also completed his degree in education. After graduation, Chris went on to teach and coach at several different schools all over the country, ultimately finding his home in Alabama. Chris went on to open his own Strongman/Powerlifting gym but his love for teaching came calling once again and he is currently teaching and coaching wrestling but still maintains some training clients. Chris has been married to his wife, Katie for 13 years, they have a 10 year old son and 2 dogs.
